It’s so easy in life for us to receive blessings, many of them almost uncounted, and have things happen in our lives

that can help change our lives, improve our lives, and bring the Spirit into our lives.

But we sometimes take them for granted.

How grateful we should be for all have been brought into our hearts and souls.

I would remind all of you that if we’re ever going to show gratitude properly to our Heavenly Father, we should do

it

with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—because it was He who gave us life and breath"

Totally...Spoiled Rotten

The Williams Family treat us to the Big Apple Circus! What do you say to friends like this? Such unbelievable kindness and generosity! Thank you!
It just might be questionable as to who has enjoyed this visit more, me or Meghan? I have loved having Jill here as a companion for myself but it has also been fabulous to see Meghan have one of her own true friends here-someone who can see past the scars, baldness, memory issues and monotone speech. To Riley, Meghan is still her 7th grade friend who likes Twilight and Mad Libs.
One of our favorite performers were a pair of identical twins from China! Long Jun and Long Bing are recognized as first class acrobats throughout China. The Long Twins developed their specialties during their 6 year act in Las Vegas. Their act includes hoop diving, contortion rings, double pole climbing, and ring and hat juggling. Their signature, crowd-pleasing act is a seven-minute acrobatic barrel routine--seen here!

My personal favorite was an aerialist from Russia, Regina Dobrovitskaya, who rises through the air on shimmering ribbons.
Meghan's favorite performer was an acrobatic clown named Bello. (He was named “America’s Best Clown” by Time magazine). The playfully elegant Bello, with his gravity-defying hair, trademark tuxedo, white gloves and spats, has daredevil stunts and child-like humor. Bello is incredibly athletic and the New York Daily News proclaimed that Bello “might be the greatest athlete to ever set foot in Madison Square Garden.” Here you can see him running through the open cage, with no fear at all.
The finale was Russia’s Aniskin Troupe who catapult to the top of the tent on trampoline and soar across it on trapeze. Completely mesmerizing. What a wonderful evening. Thank you again!

  4. That is so cool that you were able to go to the circus with Riley-- Lily is growing up gradully and is now throwing temper tantrums--she falls on the floor and cries, hits, pulls hair, etc... they can be very cute, but they can also hurt!!!! We miss you, and the lahti crew says hi!!
