Today we find ourselves in enemy territory.......the Bruins had stopped by to deliver an assortment of fan-paraphernalia for the kids to cheer them on during their opening playoff game. We politely accepted their gifts, until we realized who their opponents were: It was our very own Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres will be playing here at TD Garden on Monday and Wednesday. No question as to where our loyalty lies....Go Sabres!

We had an amazing blessing today. We arrived for our Proton treatment at our scheduled time but the normally hectic waiting room was empty. We sign in with our barcode medical card and sit down. Five minutes later, a technician comes in and announces, "the cyclotron is back up, call the urgent patients!". It turns out that the machine had been down all day and the radiation team had called everyone to cancel appointments but they had "forgotten" to call us. Dr Tarbell had expressed that she didn't want Meghan to miss anymore Proton treatments as she had missed too many already. Do you believe in mere coincidences? Neither do we. We know we are being watched over!

What a blessing! Meghan we love you!!! Oliver is getting so big I can't wait for you to get back to Buffalo so you can see him!
ReplyDeleteYay for the blessings!
ReplyDeleteMy brother was shooting a movie in Boston last year, and went to every Boston sport-- including the opening NFL game where they came back to stun the Bills-- boo! Well, anyway, the Sabres won!
Yesterday I signed Kat up for Battle of the Books and was thinking about Meghan and how I got to drive her home a few times last year. We chatted about books and the excitement (and pros and cons) of returning to school.
Meggie-- clearly you are missed at school! I hope you will get to come home soon. So heal up, evict the evil tumor and come back to us!

ReplyDeleteTruely the prayers must be working that Meghan was watched over and able to receive her treatment yesterday. Your all such an inspiration, how you find the strenght day after day is just increadable. I pray everyday that she will be rid of the tumor and retain her short term memory.
ReplyDeleteThis daily update in the blog is absolutly wonderful. You do such a great job explaining you daily happenings in this journey with Meghan. God bless you all! We are all thinking of you daily here at F-P.
