It’s so easy in life for us to receive blessings, many of them almost uncounted, and have things happen in our lives

that can help change our lives, improve our lives, and bring the Spirit into our lives.

But we sometimes take them for granted.

How grateful we should be for all have been brought into our hearts and souls.

I would remind all of you that if we’re ever going to show gratitude properly to our Heavenly Father, we should do

it

with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—because it was He who gave us life and breath"

Meghan and I took Dad and Cam to "our church" which is in a converted boiler company. Realty is at a premium in Cambridge, so we meet where we can. The building was used to design industrial steel boilers, condensers and heat exchangers as far back as 1860. Most of our meetinghouses are quite modern, so this is a step into history.

After church, we went to the Bunker Hill Memorial. This is the site of the 1st major battle of the American Revolution. "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes" is the legendary order attributed to Colonel William Prescott to make sure that each shot would count: The Colonists were very low on gunpowder! Although the colonists lost the battle, their bravery and strong showing against the British encouraged them to fight on.While Stephan and I walked the 282 steps to the top of the monument, Cameron and Meghan decided to study up on the history of the area. Well educated youth? Or Partners in Crime? You decide.
Then a return to Meghan's room to finish our highly competitive game of "Phase 10". I am a gracious loser, so I will add that Cameron won the game. Thankfully, this photo was taken before the gloating began!

  1. Sounds like you've had a great week! Glad to hear it! I hope it has given you the boost you've needed. The kids enjoyed your pics of American history sites as that's what we've been studying this semester. Hope the Costco card arrived safely and you enjoy your visit with your parents/grandparents. We love you!

  3. Lovely family picture. As always everyone smiling and non more brightly than Meghan.
She really is an inspiration to us all. Here's hoping there is much more to smile about from now on. Hope the grandparents are enjoying their trip. Give them our love and tons for yourselves. A special hug for Meghan too! Will try and send a pic of our new rescue dog, Bo. she is settling in but still quite nervous of all the countryside noises - she is a bit of a townie! Hope you can get to come and see her some day.
As always you are in our thoughts and prayers daily.
