It’s so easy in life for us to receive blessings, many of them almost uncounted, and have things happen in our lives

that can help change our lives, improve our lives, and bring the Spirit into our lives.

But we sometimes take them for granted.

How grateful we should be for all have been brought into our hearts and souls.

I would remind all of you that if we’re ever going to show gratitude properly to our Heavenly Father, we should do

it

with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—because it was He who gave us life and breath"

Some ups, some downs

This afternoon, we went to the New England Aquarium. A little difficult to maneuver a wheelchair but we managed. Here we are waiting for the Northern Fur Seal show!
Seals, like humans, will do just about anything for food!
Speaking of food, Meghan wanted Chinese food, so Stephan took us to Chinatown to a highly-rated authentic Chinese restaurant, The Gormet Dumpling. It was all I could do to convince the girls not to flee from the table: They had read the menu--frogs, pig brains and intestines. We found a menu item called "American chicken and broccoli" and encouraged them to stay. Luckily, they listened, and the meal turned out to be fabulous--if not particularly adventurous.
When we got home, it was time for the promised manicure.....gold was the choice tonight! "Feet next please!"

We did just find out that Meghan picked up an antibiotic-resistant-bacteria, probably in the hospital, so we are on precautions/isolation again. They have nothing to give us to treat this bacteria, so they just have to hope that her immune system will get strong enough to overcome this bacteria on it's own. Not to worry, this is the one area that I have some knowledge: Grapefruit seed extract plus wormwood will knock this bacteria out.

We also think that Meghan might still be leaking CSF fluid. We will see the neurosurgeon tomorrow who will assess her.

  1. Hey Meggie,

It's so nice to see you out of a hospital setting enjoying some of Boston. Glad you stayed to enjoy the Chinese food (your dad must of found some change in his pocket). Stay strong ... you look wonderful!

    Love,
    Dolores

  2. I posted before Amber again! I feel so accomplished. Meghan I also knew your mom was weird but (no offense) where do you get wood that has worms in it?!*? At Easter Aunt Shannon made a lamb out of butter but everyone agreed it looked like a seal so at the end of the brunch (yes we had a brunch) all the kids threw the lamb in the pond to see if it would float, and guess what IT DID! Also did you know that there is toxic waste gum! What it is is gum filled with lots of salt. Well i got to go.
