It’s so easy in life for us to receive blessings, many of them almost uncounted, and have things happen in our lives

that can help change our lives, improve our lives, and bring the Spirit into our lives.

But we sometimes take them for granted.

How grateful we should be for all have been brought into our hearts and souls.

I would remind all of you that if we’re ever going to show gratitude properly to our Heavenly Father, we should do

it

with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—because it was He who gave us life and breath"

Easter Egg Hunt

We are invited to join the Pediatric Cancer Center at MGH for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Meghan is challenged to walk as far as she can by Lauren, her physical therapist. I am ahead with the wheelchair for when she tires. Our goal, by the end of April, is to walk the entire way to MGH without a wheelchair, or a cane. (It's about 3 miles roundtrip)
The Egg Hunt is on the roof of the hospital in an area called the Healing Garden. The Spaulding therapists, knowing that many of their kids don't have the ability/stabilization to bend down and pick up eggs, brought these nifty little "grabbers" to snatch an egg from the ground.
Once Meghan has "grabbed" the egg, Lauren holds open the bag for Meghan to add it to her loot!
A great shot of the sky line of Boston from the roof of the MGH Healing Garden. Meghan was surprised that she was able to get as many Easter Eggs as she did. She commented that she has never been so limited by her own body as she is now. So I remind her, "There's always next year!"
Meghan's Spaulding friends: From left to right: Sanley, Meghan, Bunny, Jael, Hayley and Tucker, The adults are all the therapists who came with us. It was a 1:1 ratio. You have never met a group of adults who are so positive and upbeat with kids with disabilities. They all have gifts knowing how far to push and how far to tease, while genuinely loving all of them regardless of circumstance.
