While the photographer was setting up for the next pose, the girls decide to torment their brother: A real life shot!

It’s so easy in life for us to receive blessings, many of them almost uncounted, and have things happen in our lives
that can help change our lives, improve our lives, and bring the Spirit into our lives.
But we sometimes take them for granted.
How grateful we should be for all have been brought into our hearts and souls.
I would remind all of you that if we’re ever going to show gratitude properly to our Heavenly Father, we should do
it
with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—because it was He who gave us life and breath"

HI Meghan,
ReplyDeleteYou may not remember me, but I am the one you and everybody in Rivendell said that I needed a haircut. Yes, it's me Paul Michael Danko III. (I have more hair now than I ever have)I've just learned about how you have been and thought that I would say Hi and hope you get better soon, fast, quickly, speedly or as quick as lightning. I miss the car rides home whith you while carpooling with the Baders. By the way, your mom's car is still a refridgerator, not a lunchbox. It will always be like that an you can not stop that. So, to sum this all up, have a good recovery.
P.S.
Get back on Quizlet, I've got more points than ever and knowone wants to play with me anymore.
I'M DYING IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow. what a journey. meghan, congratulations on your recovery so far. my brother was a patient at spaulding in the summer of 2007 and is now part of the spaulding partnership, which is how i heard about your story. spaulding is a very special place with an amazing staff. you are in great hands! best wishes + good luck in your continued recovery!
ReplyDeleteDear Megs and all--
ReplyDelete(This is not from Maria Jean---its Grandma Diane but somehow I got under her name and am afraid to try and change it and lose everything again as I just got through writing a long comment and I pushed some wrong button and it disappeared into cyber space! I guess I should try and get a little more techno savy---would save me time in the long run.)
We are back from our trip down South and it was good to be able to read your blog upon our return. I couldn't seem to access it from the motel's computers so I was getting the into about you from calls back home. Is much more entertaining to read your Mom's entrys and see all the pictures (I was always into picture books myself). Am so glad to see that you seem well on the way now after that nasty detour. I admire you being able to 'tough it out' on the radiation machine. I think I would go bonkers with clausterphobia (is that how you spell it???). I took a ride at the Kennedy Space Center in this g-force machine and when they closed the door and I was all alone in this little dark compartment I about paniced---then they started up and took us up to 3 g-forces and then made it dip. I about lost my lunch and could hardly stagger out. I was green around the gills for another 3 hours. At least your machine stays still doesn't it!? Besides the Kennedy center we also went to the Everglades national park and saw all the crocs I ever want to see (I prefer my animals to be cute and fluffy!). Also went to the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC. It is the largest home in America---435 rooms and 43 bathrooms...and it was built in 1895! George Vanderbilt built it and brought his bride there and they raised their one daughter there (got a little croweded when she came!!). Those were the days when you would have company that would stay for a week or two when they came (near the days you read about in Jane Austin's novels) to they had to have tons of bedrooms for guests---and of course for all their maids that came with them plus all the staff they needed to run the place. It was really amazing. You ought to google it to see how big and ornate it is. Was also set on 125,000 acres that the same man who designed Central Park and Delaware Park (Olmstead) landscaped (with lakes, ponds, steams, etc.). Hard to think some actually had that much money to do such things. The family still owns it and keeps it in lovely shape, restoring everything to the way it was when first built. It costs a fortune to tour it---that is how they keep it so lovely.
Was nice to get back home and to see that all the snow had melted in our absence. Actually Buffalo looked as green as any of the places we went through and was almost as warm. The South really had cold nasty weather this winter and their vegetation is not made to take that so it took a hit. It was low 60's most of the places we were out---including Daytona Beach where all the college students had come for their
Spring Break and couldn't even wear their bikinis on the beach! (what a shame!).
Well, keep up the good work Meggie. We love you and pray for you each day for your quick and full recovery. Know it is a lot of hard work for you, but you have lots of people pulling for you. Grandma Diane
